  • Whole-house dirty electricity filter for homes above 2700 square feet (including basement and outbuildings) or for dirty electricity levels over 500 mV not caused by solar or variable speed motors or the other things listed for the Super Duty filter.
  • The Heavy Duty is two Power Perfects combined into one unit, thus double the number of filters as the standard Power Perfect. You do not want to overfilter, so if you don’t have a home over 2700 sq ft or dirty electricity levels over 500 mV, stick with the standard Power Perfect.

Detailed Experience with Plug in Filters

Review of 240-Volt International Pure Power Plug-in Filter

Some detailed experience with the international 240 volt Satic plug in filters (Pure Power).

What I liked:

– Both hot and neutral DE is filtered. I think this is a big advantage over other filters and for me personally.

– I have had other quality plug ins UK DE filters and even those made a slight buzzing sound if you put your ear against them. Those UK filters were actually really quiet compared to other filters, but some sensitive people could still hear. For me it was not a problem, but for others it is. Satic is SILENT, no sound at all – so that’s very good. I guess it’s the quality of components inside which makes the difference.

– Maybe it’s placebo effect but it seems voltage on the circuit it is plugged in has become more stable.

– Sound equipment is working better – no crackling sound when changing sound sources.

– Besides DE filtering, it also conditions power in other aspects, which is a nice addition to just EMI reduction.

– Overall it is a quality-made device, definitely more advanced then ordinary cheap filters. I cannot say anything related to health yet as it is too early to tell.

Some minor downsides:

– it is bulky compared to others. Not really a problem for me. I guess quality components take space inside, so that’s a reasonable trade off for me.

– Blue LED is too bright and intrusive, to the extent it is not usable in bedrooms at night. Also not a big problem since it is easily solved by thick tape – just cover the led with it and it works. Even though there is still some light intruding through the socket opening and around its edges (it is really bright inside LED lol).

I plan to buy more filters for myself and my friends, and eventually one of the corded plug-ins or a whole-house filter.

Wiring Instructions

Dimensions: 14″ x 7.25″ x 4″.

Installation: Installs outside the circuit panel (breaker box). Can be installed indoors or outdoors.

Takes about 20 minutes for the average installation, from the time the electrician walks in your door to the time he or she walks out again. It installs just like a surge protector (and it is also a surge protector).

Because this filter wires directly into your breaker box, all incoming electricity is cleaned before it enters your home!

If you would like to have the filter installed by someone other than a licensed electrician, please contact me. The 10-year warranty covers installations by licensed electricians; however, if certain conditions are met, the warranty will be honored if the filter is installed by other than a licensed electrician.
